Zecharya Fishman, (1891-1926), brother of Rabbi Y.L. Meimun (Fishman), accended to Eretz Yisrael in the year 1913 and learned in the Bet Medrash LeMorim in Jerusalem. In 1919 he traveled to the United States to specialize in the field of librarien at the Columbia University. He worked in the Library “Shaar Tzion” in Tel Aviv, and in the library Bet Hamedrash LeRabbanim in America. He served as a member of the organization “Miklat” and ‘Hadaar’, and wrote for the newspaper ‘Chairut’ and’ ‘Moledet’. He saw his lifes work by creating bio-bibliographic lexicon for Hebrew literature a systematic collection publications and listing of everything that was published about. he passed away at a young age and did not manage to complete this work.
