Announcement by the Rabbis of Yemen to their communities towards the election of the fifth Knesset, wherein they commend to vote only for the religious party.

The secular governing parties who are dominating today in the country are doing acts that have not been done before diverting the children from their religion by temptations and various pressure, in contrast to them, the religious party Leumit is fighting fiercely for the religious education of the Jewish children. Representatives of the party did not hesitate leaving the government when they saw them destroying the soul of the nation. ‘Upon our community understand that the religious party is the only one conforming to the purity of our faith and it is upon us to support and strengthen them. This declaration is signed by Rabbis of Yemen amongst them Rabbi Yechiya Nachum, Rabbi Zecharye Yefes, Rabbi Shlomo Melachi and more. 1961
