Rabbi Yisrael Isserlin, (1390-1460) the son of Rabbi Pesachia Ashkenazi, author of shu”t ‘Terumas HeDeshen’, one of the great poskim, mekubal, Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi from Breno (Italy), Marburg (Germany), wiener Neustadt (Austria). Author of several seforim one of which is this sefer ‘Biurei MahRa”I’ explanations on Rashi’s commentary on the Torah.
