Rabbi Yoseph Tzvi Goldshmidt, (1885-1959) ascended to Israel in the year of 1896, as a Shochet, he engaged in reclaiming land of Motza, Givat Shaul, and Yarkon in Tel Aviv. He was among the founder of the neighborhood of “Givat Shaul”, and faught feircly for the protection of the neighborhood in the times of the Turks, and durring the British Period. His son Yehoshua Yeruchem, was a commander and faught in the Irgun and fell during the war of independance in the battle at the Police academy in Jerusalem as operations officer
