“With G-D’s help I completed to print this sefer HaMenucha V’Hatenuah, this is the first sefer from my collection on fundamental wisdom of general nature, in the Holy language, “למען דעת כל עמי לשפוט מפעלות היצורים על חכמת יוצרם הבלתי תכלתית”. At the end of the sefer description of the phone device and its workings developed by the German Philip Reiss, some years before the patent was registered by Alexander Graham Bell. “Device to hear from far, Telephone…. Wonderful machine which if will reach a level of completion you will be able to hear various sounds from very far….like this you will be able to hear by the telephone sounds of laughter and song, and crying also by standing very far as 100 km away from the person who will emit these sounds.”
