Hrh”k Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heshil of Machnuvkeh was born in 1895 to his father Rabbi Yosef Meir of Machnovkeh from the descendants of Skver from the Chernobel family. Under the Bulshevik government he continued in his holy works, spreading Judaism with no fear. He continued living in Moscow in order to stand to help and continue to spread Torah and Judaism between the Jews of Russia. In the year 1965 he ascended to Eretz Yisrael and his name was known to all as righteous scholar, very studious, member of the Moetzes Gedolai HaTorah, and many flocked to his doors and his blessings never failed.
