Background: Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Toledano (Teveria, 1880 – Jerusalem, 1960), from the year 1926 served as Daayan in Tangier and established there the Study house for Rabbanim and teachers ‘Torah V’Chaim’, from the year 1928 he served as Ab”d and deputy cheif in Cairo. In the year 1933 he was appointed as Daayan in Alexandria and later was appointed to fill the place of Cheif Rabbi there. In the year 1942 he was appointed as Cheif Rabbi of Tel Aviv, Yafo, and from the year 1958 he served as Minister of Religeous Affairs in the 8th and 9th Knesset. Authored Seforim on Torah and research including: Shu”t “Yam Hagadol”, “Mashiv HaNefesh”, “Shrid Ufalit”, “Bat Ami”, and more.
