Commentaries from the Baal Hatanya that has been written by his brother Rabbi Yehudah Leib of Yonovitz. Brought to print by his grandson and student The Great Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson of Lubavitch the Baal “Tzemech Tzedek”. After the Sefer was published the “Tzemech Tzedek” in a letter to his Chassidim remarked on the magnitude of the sefer, “וכל דבריו כגחלי אש להלהיב הלבבות ולקרבן לאביהן שבשמים, ולהמשיכן על אפיקי מים חיים התורה והמצוה”
From the latest seforim that have been printed in Russia before the closure of all the Jewish printers in the year of 1837 because of the informers. From then on only two printing houses were allowed in Vilna and Zhytomir who stood under the severe inspection of the Russian: Government. Only in the year 1848 was printed in Zhytomir the second part of the sefer on Chumushim, Veyikra-Devorim in another format by the name of “Lekutai Torah”
