Sources of the custom of learning the Chok L’Yisrael: Instituted from the days of the Holy Ar"I and his disciple Rabbi Chaim Vital who wrote the special intentions when learning the Chok L’Yisrael.
Amazing segula for children, life and wealth: In the Chassidic communities this was accredited for learning the Chok L’Yisrael.
As a pun, according to the wording of the Gemara "חוק – לישנא דמזוני הוא"
[Talmud Bavli, Tractate Beitza, page 17 sheet 1]. Also amongst the righteous it was common and respected to learn the "Chok": Hrh"k Rabbi Yehoshua of Belz refused to receive anyone before finishing his daily learning. The Rabbi of Satmar said the answers of questions he was asked he drew from the "Chok".
The righteous of the Leluv dynasty learned from this holy sefer every day, and many admired its virtue and value, also among the courtyards of Karlin, Tchernobyl and Viznitz.
