Machzur for the whole year for a Shaliach Tzibur, according to the Rome community customs. Two parts bound together in one volume, each part has a separate illustrated cover sheet.
Along the whole Machzur, are many notations in Halacha and customs, changes of formulations (Nischaot) and comparing to previous releases, beautifully Italian handwriting.
For the first time appearing in Italian Machzur, Various poems and formulas, amongst for example , we find the Rav who edited at first brings the poem: ‘הלא אזלת ידינו תש כוחנו ובת קול תנחמנו עוד אביכם חי’
Though this line is found in different formula, (Nusach) it is accepted today in the Ashkenaz Machzur, and so he brings sources from his Rabbi’s and various formulas from the mekubalim, the students of the Holy Ar"i.
From a study conducted, it appears that this Machzur contains many various handwritings. Accepted reason, this copy passed from hand to hand amongst Italian scholars durring the printing period, this was in use for proofreadingwho were editors great Torah scholars and familiar in formulas (Nischaot) to formulate the prayers for the Italian Jews for generations.
First part includes: Shabbat, Rosh Chodesh, Chanukah Purim, Pesach, Pirkei Avot with Ramba"m commentary, Shevuot, Shiva Asar B’Tamuz, and Tisha B’Av.
Second part includes: Selichot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Taaniot, Different prayers and notations by Rabbi Avraham Yedidya ben Rabbi Menachem Shimshon Bazila.
