Sefer ‘Pri Ha’Aretz’. Chassidic lectures on the way of pard"s according to the order of the weekly Parshiot, authored by Hrh"k Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk. First edition. Kopys, 1814. 


At the beginning of the sefer he brings lectures and the meanings of Mikveh by Hrh"k Rabbi Avraham HaMalach. At the end of the sefer are brought letters by Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk and from his beloved disciple Rabbi Avraham of Kalisk that were sent to his Chassidim in Europe, and amongst them words of praise and strengthening on renewal of settlements in Israel especially in Tiberias, requests for economic support and guidance of conduct for Chassidim in Europe. Missing pages from this copy are completed with quality photography.

Hrh"k Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk (1730-1788) from the great disciples of the Holy Magid of Mezritz, Chassidic leader of White Russia and from the great Admo"rim of Chassidut from the third generation of the Baal Shem Tov. He ascended to Israel in the year 1777, as the head of the three hundred of the disciples of the Baal Shem Tov who came up to Israel, and established the Chassidic settlement in Tiberias. He wrote many sefarim, and the most famous is "Pri Ha’Aretz", which he wrote when he was in Israel. He passed away on the 1st day of Iyar 1788 in Tiberias, and was laid to rest in the portion of Talmidei HaBaal Shem Tov in the old cemetery of the city.

On some of the pages several lettering’s are damaged at the end of the lines due to cutting of the pages. Light stains, very good condition.
