[3] Pages 20x25cm.

"נשב בפה למען הסיר כל הקופות של המכ"ה… ודבר ידוע הוא כי כל המחלוקת של המכ"ה היא רק עבור הביה"ח והמשגב לדך… וזאת למודעי אשר לא תפחדו מהקופות שקובע מיכל כעת פה ואקוה… נסירם ולא ישאר אפי’ אחד".
The letter to the General Committee in the Holy City of Jerusalem lead by Hagoan Rabbi Shmuel Salant, following placing of charity boxes in the United States funding the ‘Misgav Ladach’ Hospital,  by R’ Michal Kohen. Including financial reports and reports of an exchange of letters, and reporting on different approaches between the fundraisers about the accepted time to remove the charity boxes.

Background: in the year 1893 Chaim Michal Michlin the secretary of Yeshivat ‘Eitz Chaim’, and the ‘Bikur Cholim’ Hospital, went over to work for the ‘Misgav Ladach’ Hospital which primarily served the Sefaradi community. Along with him went his father-in-law Michal HaKohen and his brother-in-law Dr Eliezer Kohen and they worked together to raise funds for the hospital. This matter caused a controversy between the leaders of the hospitals and a rift between Chaim Michal Michlin and the Ashkenazi committee in Jerusalem.
