Rabbi Avrham Yitzchak Kohen the Toldos Aharon Rabbi [1914-1997], Established the Holy courtyard and institution of Toldos Aharon, son-in-law and successor of the Holy Rabbi Aharon Roth author of ‘Shomer Amunim’ and ‘Teharat HaKodesh’. He was born in the Holy city of Safed to his father Rabbi Shmuel David HaKohen and his mother the great grand daughter of the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Heller Rav of Safed. During his childhood his family moved to Europe and there he learned in the Yeshiva of Heynod (Huedin) and Zickelhid by the Holy Rabbi Yehuda Sega"l Rosner, there he received much Torah from the Holy Rabbi of Satmar. After he married the only daughter of the Holy Shomer Emunim, Rabbi Aharon Roth, he became one of the important members of his group.
After his father-in-laws passing, most of the chassidim of his father-in-law clung to him and he set up the holy community of ‘Toldot Aharon’, for 50 years with renowned leadership in Avodat Hakodesh, with great devotion and toil. Tens of thousands flock to witness his lighting of the bonfire on Lag BeOmer in the courtyard of Rashb"i. in Miron and thousands arrive to celebrate the remembrance of Simchat Beit HaShoaivah in his centeral Beit Medrash in the Meah Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem.
