Silver saucer that was used on the reputable royal table, in the Holy home of the Rabbi of Lubavitch during the meals in the shadow of the Rabbi and on the private table of the Rabbi and Rabbanit Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka.

The saucer was used while serving guest and family members who arrive to their private home on 1304 President St in Crown Hieghts.

The saucer arrived from the family of Mrs Maira Gelfrin, close friend of the righteous Rabbanit Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka. The two where close for decades. Mrs Gelfrin miraculously lived through the holocaust, and when the war was over she arrived to United States with nothing at all. The Rebbetzin granted here friend her personal dishes of which she used until now, and between them this treasured silver saucer. Attached is signed authorization from the Rabbi’s secretary.

75 gr. stamped silver.

In the Chassidic Torah writtings, the value of silver appears more that the value of gold. While real gold, is rarer and therefore worth much more, the pros of silver is more compelling being more obtainable, used by merchants, is common and useful. Therefore silver coins are used and not gold coins. Thus silver is more advantageous, the Rabbi explained many times: הוא שימושו הרב ובאמצעותו נבנה העולם, הכסף הוא החומר השימושי לקיומו השגרתי של העולם.
Silver in chassidut, symbolizes Avodat Hashem profusely with great desire. זו עבודת הצדיקים, שעובדים את הקב"ה מתוך אהבה. עבודה זו היא העבודה של העולם, בדוגמת הכסף שהוא משמש לצרכים הרגילים של העולם.
