Rabbi Shimon Ausenburg Halevi from the scholars of Frankfurt in the 16th century, from the family of MHR”L author of ‘Mesorat Habrit’, sefer of index of verses of the Torah that are quoted in the Talmud. (Lublin, 1572). In the year 1588 when he was in Venice on the way to Israel he published the first edition of the sefer he authored ‘Devak Tov’ on the interpretation of Rash”I on Torah. From that time of many more have been published. Rabbi Shimon arrived to Israel in the year 1589 and passed away before 1600, his only son died during a plague.
