Rabbi Yisroal ben Rabbi Yitzchok Simchah Berger (1855-1919) was a great and famous Chassid, student of many great Rabbis one of which Rabbi Yitzchok Eizik of Komarnah, and Rabbi Yosef Meir Weis of Spinka. He was Rabbi in many cities in Romania, and from the year 1898 he was Ab”d of the community Bukharst. Author of many seforim ‘Retzon Yisroel’ on Torah, ‘Retzon Yisroel’ on ‘Tehilim’ ‘Retzon Yisroel’ on Shabbat, Milah, and Tefilin, ‘Yalkut Yisroel’, Eser Kedushot’, ‘Eser Ohros’, Shu”t Igeret Kallah’, and more. He was a descendant of many great Rabbis, as enumerated in the brochure ‘Megalet Hayochsin VeSeder HaHitkashrut’.
