Rabbi Shlomo Efraim of Luntschitz (1540-1619), disciple of the great Rabbi of the diaspora the Holy Maharshal. Already when he was still very young he was one of the famous lecturers of his generation. In the year 1604 he was called to undertake with the Maharal and serve as Rosh Yeshiva and Rav in Prague. After the passing of the Maharal he served alone as Rav of Prague until the Holy Shla joined him in carrying the public burden. He was from the leaders of the Va’ad Arba Artzut. In his many lectures he criticized for improvement in his community not fearing anyone, like missing concentration during prayers, joining the merriment on Purim, and more. One of his great disciples was: Rabbi Yom Tov Lipman Heller –Baal ‘Tosfot Yom Tov’ on the Mishaneh.
