The Holy Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Weis of Spinka (1916-1988). Son of Rabbi Yisrael Chaim and grandson of the Holy Rabbi YItzchak Eizik – the ‘Chakal Yitzchak’. In his first marriage he was he was the son-in-law of Rabbi Alter Menachem Mendel of Borșa. Served as a Rav HaTzair in the city and likewise as Ram in the Yeshiva of the ‘Chakal Yitzchak’. His wife and three children were murdered in the Holocaust. After the Holocaust he was crowned as Admor of Borsa, later as Admor of Spinka. He founded and established the beautiful Spinka courtyard, he built institutions in the United States, Jerusalem and Bnei Brak. Many joined his pure and holy Tishen and heartfelt prayers as the custom of his ancestors. He was a great orator and known to love and accept all Jews.
