Early edition of Shilchon Aruch with the uncensored caption of later edition. Venice 1632.
In this volume are bound together:
* Shilchon Aruch, Yoreh Daeh: 16 cm. 150 pages. At the end missing pages: 151-196.
* Shilchon Aruch Orach Chaim: 16 cm. 19-200 pages. Missing pages: 1-18, 201-202.
In this sefer ‘Shilchon Aruch Orach Chaim’ chapter 604 (other editions 605), the following caption appears: "מנהג כפרות בערב י"כ מנהג של שטות הוא". This caption started from the first edition of the sefer (Venice 1565), and appeared in 3 additional editions during the authors lifetime, and in another 14 editions after his passing. Starting from the Amsterdam edition in 1708 the printers began to omit the words: "מנהג של שטות הוא". Within a few years later the omission was permanent.
Stained, the spinal binding is loose between Yoreh Daeh and Orach Chaim, missing copy. General condition good.
