Hrh"k Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl, the son of the Meor Einayim’ Rabbi Menachem Nachum (disciple of the Holy Baal Shem Tov).
The ‘Shoel Umeishiv’ HaGaon Rabbi Yosef Rabbi Yosef Shaul Nathanson of  Lvov (Lemberg) wrote on him: "והרב הגאון הצדיק מבעלז כק"ש מוהר"ר שלום מבעלזא ז"ל אמר עת הסב בסעודת שבת, שאם היה הצדיק מטשערנאביל במדינתינו היה נוסע כמה פרסאות לקראתו". Rabbi Mordechai was from the great Admo"rim in his generation and was renowned for his extreme holiness. Among his disciples are the holy Rabbi Yisrael of Vilednik, and Hrh"K Rabbi Avraham Dov of Avritch – the ‘Bas Ayin’.
