Silver Kiddush goblet used by the family of Admorim of the Holy Nadvorna dynasty over a hundred years.
Romania, end of the 19th century. 16 cm high, 137 gram. Stamped silver, bell shape, leg on wide base, dent by the connection of leg to base. Brim around the rim of the cup. Floral engraving on the front stalks, ribbons dangling. In the center of the goblet engraving inscription:
‘לאמ"ור הרה"צ ר’ ראובן שליט"א’.
According to the holy family’s tradition, the Kidush goblet was given to the Holy Admor Rabbi Reuven Leifer of Grosvarden, son of the Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov of Chust son of the Rabbi Mordechei of Nadvorna son of Rabbi Bertche of Nadvorna.
The Admor of Grosvarden gave the goblet to his son the Holy Admor Rabbi Shamuel Shmelka of Chelmin (close to Satmar), he gave it over to his son-in-law Rabbi Leibish Halpert Rav of Vaslui.
Attached is certificate from the heirs.
