Background:
Str. Olteni, 38 Bucuresti (Bucharest)! was a famous address and an open home to the masses of Holocaust refugees that thronged to Romania, there they got a place to rest, food to eat, and clothing to wear. There they revived their bodies and souls and were received a warm welcome full of heart and soul. This was the home of Hrh"k Rabbi Rabbi Yitzchok (Isack) Friedman din Buhusi (of Bohush), who was especially renowned in those dark years as the address for all rescue operations and rehabilitation all over Romania. The one that was in contact with him in all rescue operations, charity and benevolence was his close friend the Hrh"k the Imrei Chaim of Viznitz, together they stood and worked to revive the Jewish nation, to dress and cover all poor broken souls.
