The Holy Rabbi Eliezer Tzvi Safrin of Komarno [1830-1898]. From the righteous of his generation, the third of the Rabbis of Komarno Chassidut. Son of the Holy Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik of Komarno. He learned and acquired Kabbalah and Chassidut from his father. Disciple of the Holy Rabbi Moshe of Sambor and of his son the Holy ‘Da’as Kedoshim’ Rabbi Yehuda Tzvi of Razla, and from his cousin the Holy Rabbi Yitzchok Eizik of Zidichov.
On the 8th day of Iyar 1874, 2 days before his fathers passing, his father called to his wife the Rabbanit and told her "Our son Rabbi Eliezer Tzvi should sit in my seat, he is worthy to fill my place and continue the holy dynasty", he was clothed in white clothing as is the custom of the disciples of the Ba’al Shem Tov Hakadosh. After his fathers passing the Chassidim accepted Rabbi Eliezer to continue and lead the Chassidut.
