Lengthy and rare letter from Hgh"k Rabbi Aharon Moshe MiGeza Zvi of Brod, founder of Chassidic settlement in Jerusalem, and from the great disciples of the Rabbi the holy Choze of Lublin and of the holy Saraf of Strelisk.
The letter has 17 rows, personally holy hand written with full signature, deals with fulfilling the will of a deceased who contributed his estates for charity and Torah, and those that are undermining the enactment of the will. Rabbi Aharon Moshe is offering to set up a special Beit Din consisting of Sefaradim and Ashkenazim together to fulfill the will all the way. Jerusalem 22nd day of Av 1842.

Hgh"k Rabbi Aharon Moshe MiGeza Zvi of Brod [1775-1858] Disciple of the Holy Choze of Lublin, the Saraf of Strelisk and Hrh"k and Rabbi Moshe Tzvi of Savran. Considered the founder of the Chassidic settlement in Jerusalem. Born in 1775 to his father Rabbi Shaul descendant of Rashi HaKodosh. Was son-in-law of Rabbi Mordechei Horovitz (authored sefer ‘Chibat Yerushalayim’). Ascended to Israel in 1839, settled in Jerusalem. Stood at the head of the Kollelei Chassidim in Jerusalem. He mourned on the destruction of Jerusalem all day and night. His Rabbi the Holy Choze of Lublin assured him he will not be taken from this world before he fixes all reincarnation (gilgulim). After his passing his famous will was published in Chernowirtz in 1858.

Few original ink stains, covering a few letters from the text. Very good – good condition.
