Rabbi Chaim Meir Zev (1769-1832), author of sefer "Sha’arei Chaim", Rav of Selish (Nagy-szölös). Prior to that he served as Rav in Ratzfert, and Nádudvar in Hungary. His father Rabbi Avraham Yitzchok HaKohen Kat"z, author of ‘Keter Kehune" was Rav of Pintchov (Pińczów in Poland).
From the year 1788 he served as Rav in Tarło in Poland. During this time he wrote responses and annotations which were mostly burnt in the great fire of the city in 1808. In the year 1810 he moved to Hungary and changed his family name from Kat"z to Zelenfreind. From the year 1811 he served as Rav in Ratzfert, and from 1815 served as Rav in Nodudvar, there he established a Yeshiva. In the year 1821 was appointed to serve as Rav in Selish (Nagy-szölös), at this time he lost again most of his manuscripts in a great fire. He negoted in Halachah with great scholars of his generation, among the Chasam Sofer, Rabbi Mordechei Banet, his brother-in-law and Mechutan Rabbi Elazer Lev the "Shemen Rokeach". At the end of his life he became sick and moved to Sighet (Sighetu Marmatiei), where he passed away and was buried. When he was still sick he prepared to print his sefer "Sha’arei Chaim" his annotations and responses that survived the fires. The sefer was published by his son, thirty years after his passing. This responsa is brought in the sefer "Sha’arei Chaim" first part, page 35, as the wording printed has a few differences from the manuscript.
Fold marks, wear and tear on the edges of the pages with few damage to the text, stained, general condition good.
