The Holy Mekubal Rabbi Yaakov Kopel ben Rabbi Moshe Lipshitz of Mezritch, passed away about 1740. Author of sefer ‘Sharei Gan Eiden’ and siddur ‘Kol Yaakov’. His sefarim were written according to Kabalat Ari and his disciples, filled with approbations of great sages of Chassidus, and many editions have been printed. According to writing on the cover page of the sefer ‘Sharei Gan Eiden’, the sefer reached the Holy Baal Shem Tov, who praised it very much.
