The Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Lipman (b" r Avigder of Mezhrich), was from the close acquaintances of Rabbi Akiva Eiger and the ‘Netivot’. He was a son-in-law of Rabbi Yehuda Naumberg abd of Rawicz (the son-in-law of the ‘Beit Meir’). Rabbi Eliezer Lipman lived for several years in Rawicz, until 1817 when he moved to serve as Dayan in Lisa and Rav in the Beit Medrash on the name Rabbi Hirsch ben Rabbi Reuven. Passed away on the 10th day of Nisson 1841.

The Gaon Rabbi (Simcha) Bunem Ginz-Eiger, (1770-1829) brother of Rabbi Akiva Eiger. Father-in-law of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman the ‘Yeriot Shlomo’. He was born in Eisenstadt, and destined for Rabbanut at the age of 13. Filled the place of the Chasam Sofer as abd in Mattersdorf. Dozens of Teshuvot (responses) were written to him by the Chasam Sofer and Rabbi Akiva Eiger.
