Lengthy emotional letter from the Holy Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Friedman the Avir Yaakov of Sadigura, to the Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik HaLevi Herzog Chief Rabbi of Israel. In the letter the Holy Sadigura Rabbi requests him to arrange an immigration certificate for his niece (daughter of his wife’s sister) Malka Heschel daughter of the Holy Admor of Kapishnitz who was then in Vienna.

"כי אין לתאר לכת"ה את גודל הצער והייסורים שלנו היינו אני וזוג’ הרבנית תחי’ מזה אחרי שהמדוברת הנ"ל נתגדלה ונתחנכה אצלנו מקטנותה ועד עתה וכעת אם ח"ו לא יעלה בידנו להביאה הנה בזמן הכי קצר כי אז עלול הדבר להשפיע ח"ו לרעה מאד על מצב בריאותה של זוג’ הרבנית תחיה אשר מזמן ממשלת הנאצים ימ"ש נתרופף מאד…"

The letter appears on a black official letter head page from the Admor with his address in Tel Aviv.

The Holy Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura, the Avir Yaakov, son of Rabbi Yisrael of Sadigura, from famous righteous of that generation. From the head of the International Agudat Yisrael, from the great members of Moetzet Gedolai HaTorah and for a short time the leader of the Moetzet. From the founders of the Chareidi education in Israel and toiled much to increase Torah and purity in Israel. Passed away in 1961 without leaving any descendants.

His nephew, the Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Meir of Kapishnitz, grew up in his shadow and raised by him and is the leader of his courtyard in Jerusalem, with the spirit of his uncle as is the glory of Ruzhin dynasty.
