Long and important letter about rescuing a Jew from the Ashkenaz and Germany refugees. All hand written by the Holy ‘Imrei Emet’ of Gur, to his dear friend: לידידי היקר הר’ יוסף שי’ לאוי" ט.
Letter of 11 rows, in it the ‘Imrei Emet’ writes interesting words:
‘קושט אמרי אמת’ גם אתה מפליטי אשכנז ואם יוכל לעשות לך טובה יהי חלקו עמו…
Finishing off the Holy Rabbi of Gur signs with a very rare blessing:
‘ידידך דורש שלומך וטובך ותזכה בשנה הבאה עלינו להיות יום טוב יחד עם בני ביתך ובניך שי
And signs his full holy signature:
: ‘אברהם מרדכי אלטר מפה גור’.
As it seems, the letter was written after Germany persecution started with the rise to power of the Nazi party. 1933.
Substantial fold marks. Stains and light tears. Nothing missing.
