Menoraht HaBaal Shem Tov, Spectacular and beautiful Chanukiah. Stamped silver, Russia – Poland 1869. Silver and gold workmanship. Made by M. Stern of Warsaw.
Gorgeous Menorah. A row of cups in the form of pitchers. Standing behind them a silver platform decorated with Filigren’s work. In the center stands a husk of Aron HaKodesh with 2 doors and additional decorations. A beautiful small crown atop a large one, is set on top of the platform. The Chanukiah is similar in shape as a bench which usually has the back platform made in the shape of an Aron Kodesh etc. It is called "the Menoraht Baal Shem Tov" Because they were first manufactured in Podolia and its surroundings, where the Holy Baal Shem Tov was engaged and established the Chassidut movement. The fondness of Chassidim and the virtuous are well known for these menorahs.
29×7.5x30cm.
Two parts connected (the body of the menorah and the row of cups). Very good condition.
