Official postcard hand written by the Holy Rabbi Chaim Baruch Halberstam of Pristik, to the philanthropist R’ Tovia Unger. In the letter Rabbi Chaim Baruch thanks him for the charity money he sent for a poor bride. Pristik, 1936.
Likewise a lengthy letter appears on the second side of the postcard.

The Holy Rabbi Chaim Baruch Halberstam of Trisk (1886-1942), was born to Rabbi Menachem Mendel Halberstam of Pristik (1864-1926) and his mother Faiga Baila. Both parents were descendants of the Holy ‘Divrei Chaim’ Rabbi Chaim Halberstam of Sanz. The father was the son of Rabbi Arye Leibish Halberstam of Dukla who was the son of Rabbi David Halberstam of Kshanov (Chrzanów), son of the Holy Divrei Chaim of Sanz. His mother was the daughter of the Holy Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga of Shinova. Was the brother of the Holy Rabbi Chuna Halberstam with whom he interconnected through marriages of their children. From the year 1936 (the year of this letter) he served as Rav in Pristik. Was murdered together with his family during the terrible Holocaust.
