Medrash Raba, Vilna 1887, within hundreds of notations, innovations editing and additions, lengthy and short thorough and comprehensive, important and wonderful personally hand written by the Holy Great Gaon Rabbi Pinchas Stein Rav of Török-szent-miklós (Town in Hungary), author of Shut "Kinat Pinchas’ and from pronounced teachers and respondents in his generations. From prominent and great disciples of Moron the ‘Ketav Sofer’ of Pressburg,  
At the top of the first volume, is signature of the revered gaon Rabbi Meir Stein, Rav of Török-szent-miklós succeeding his father, and later Rav in the city of Turnau. In this volume inscribes his own blessing, lengthy and significant introduction on the essence of Medrash in Agadah and Kabbalah. In two volumes are hundreds of notations, collected to an impressive collection, inside are notations and transformations from other sefarim.
The great gaon Rabbi Pinchas Stein (1830-1886), from prominent disciples of the ‘Ketav Sofer’; Rabbi Eliyakim Getz HaKohen Shwerin Rav of Baia; Rabbi Yitzchak Moshe Perlas Rav of Boniyad; and Moron Rabbi Meir Ash Rav of Ungvar. Married to the daughter of Rabbi Yom Tov Lipman Katz Kerepsh from Irsa. From 1855 he served as Rav in Török-szent-miklós. Authored Shut Kinat Pinchas and more sefarim.
His son the revered gaon Rabbi Meir Stein Rav of Török-szent-miklós, and later Rav in Turnau, author of sefer Shut HaMeir, Even HaMeir and many other serfarim. Disciple of great Gaonim Rabbi Shimon Friedman Rav of Galanta; Rabbi Simcha Bunim Sofer of Pressburg author of ‘Shevet Sofer’.
Two volumes. 36 cm. First volume on Breishit Shemot with original cover, fragile pages, and moth holes. Good condition.
Second volume, Vayikra – Devarim and five Megilot, no cover, pages fragile and detached. Fair to poor condition.
