Manuscript Sefer, Shir HaShirim, Ruth and Kohelet, with Targum and Rashi [Yemen, 1900’s?].

[46] pages, 24 cm. Yemenite beautiful handwriting. The Megilot were written in Hebrew lettering, and the Targum in semi-cursive Yemenite handwriting, Rashi is written in similar lettering of the Rashi lettering. With stamp of ‘יוסף בן סעיד צפירא מירושלים’ (Yosef son of Sa’id Tzefira from Jerusalem). 

The Mekubal Yosef son of the Mekubal Rabbi Saadia Tzefira zt"l born in Yemen to his father the Mekubal Rabbi Saadia Tzefira from Haraz area. About 1890 he immigrated to Israel, and settled in Jerusalem, there he published the sefer of his father ‘Kesef Tzaruf’ on Torah with commentary ‘Mayan Ganim’ on Shir Hashirim. Rabbi Yosef was a man of faith, straight and humble, kabbalist, from the outstanding ones of the Yeshivat ‘Bet El’, who worked as a scribe (Sofer Stam) and did not want to accept support from the Yeshiva. He passed away the 19th day of Adar 1936 and brought to rest on Har HaZeitim. Written on his gravestone: "He demanded words of faith in the Bei HaKnesset, he made cheerful with the sound of his joyous singing he sang at weddings, responded with pleasant words of faith, and with his sweet lips he reached the hearts of every person, he made many repent, and outstretched his hands for orphans and widows".
