Sefer ‘Zohar Chadash’, from the first sefarim printed by the Press of Rabbi Moshe Shapiro and his prominent and distinguished family, by his brother the Holy Rabbi Yechezkel Shapiro of Ostroh son of the Holy Rabbi Pinchas of Korets. Slavita 1793.

This copy is very unique, full with many editing, lengthy and short, in Chabadi handwriting, comments and corrections, reference places and also short notations.

Some of the notations, are hand written by the Holy Rabbi Aharon of Staroselye, one of the great chassidim and disciples of the holy elderly Admor (Alter Rebbe) ‘Baal HaTanya’.

On the back flyleaf page, is a wonderful lengthy summary of contents from ‘Zohar Chadash’, personally hand written as predicted to be the handwriting of the Holy Rabbi Aharon of Staroselye, including magnificent Kabbalistic notations. According to the researchers, the handwriting is indeed the manuscript of the Holy Rabbi Aharon of Staroselye.

Ownership signature, ‘לייב יהודיהן מבוברויסק’ . Also faded signature with the word ‘שניאור’.  

The Holy Rabbi Aharon HaLevi (ben Moshe) Horowitz of Staroselye (1766- about 1829),  Seventh generation of the Holy Shela, from great chassidim of the Holy elderly Admor ‘Baal HaTanya’. After the passing of his Holy Rebbe, he opened his courtyard in the city of Staroselye, where many scholarly Chassidim flocked to him. He wrote simple and deep explanations, enlightening in Toraht HaChassidut and annotations on the holy sefer Tanya, as is known his annotation of ‘Shaar HaYchid V’HaEmunah’.
