Will document from the famous philanthropist R’ Yechezkel son of R’ Shmerel, which was especially prepared on the sacred date the 3rd of Cheshvan in the city of Sadigura 1865.
The will was prepared on the special day, the 3rd day of Cheshvan, the day of the passing of the Holy Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin, a transcendent day as said by his son the holy Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadiugra: ‘עיצומו של יום מכפר’ (a day of forgiveness like Yom Kippur), and it was most probably prepared in the royal city of Sadigura, while many Chassidim arrived to the city as the masses ascended to the holy Tzion (tombstone). It is therefore speculated that the astute Chassidim, chose this date to write the will, on this special and lofty date.
As noted on the document the year: ‘כתרו’, תרכ"ו -1865. Signed by prominent witnesses: Hk’ Yosef Yisr9ael son of R’ Elimelech… and Hk’ Yosef son of R’ Aharon David z"l, pronounced Chassidim of Ruzhin and Sadigura. Also the owner of the will added his stamp to the will, Hk’ Yitzchak Yechezkel … family name unidentified.
