Rabbi Gavriel Dessaur (1805-1878). From great disciples of Moron Chasam Sofer. Served as Rabbi in Aletan-Pekaiar for 40 years. Authored many sefarim on various Torah topics: ‘Yad Gavriel’ on Shulchan Aruch, ‘Shirei Zimrah’, Sefer ‘Ariel’ on Aggadot HaShas, ‘Kasat Gavriel’ on sefer Iyov, and more. Appearing in a response written by Moron Chasam Sofer are prominent words of praise: "לתלמידי הרב המופלג בתורה ויראת ה’… אשר מעודו למד בישיבתנו ועלה ע"ג חביריו ביתר שאת ועוז… נחבא אל הכלים שוקד על התורה והעבודה..".
Several of his hand written editing appear on the margins of the sefer.

Rabbi Yitzchak Abuhav II ‘Gaon of Castile’ (1433-1493) from leaders and scholars of exiled Jews of Spain during the expulsion generation. Disciple of Rabbi Yitzchak Canpanton of Spain. Served as Rosh Yeshiva in Toledo. During the expulsion of the Spanish Jews by King Ferdinand II and Queen Isabella, Aragon monarchy, Rabbi Yitzchak arrived to Portugal and served as official for King Zhou II to collect the Spanish deportees in Portugal. After the expulsion he settled in the city of Porto and passed away shortly thereafter.
The Holy Beit Yosef Moron Rabbi Yosef Karo mentions him several times using eminent and honorable titles as: "רבינו הגדול מהר"י אבוהב".
Among his students are Rabbi Avraham Zachut author of ‘Sefer Yuchasin’ and Rabbi Yaakov Beirav from Israeli scholars.
