Genuine silver honey dish belonged to the Holy Rabbi Meir Leib Frei Rav of Shuran, from poskim and great Rosh Yeshiva of his generation. Grandson of Moron the Ketav Sofer.
Attached is certificate from the prominent Sofer family members, authorizing this item was inherited from the Rav of Shuran.

The Gaon Rabbi Meir Leib Frei Rav of Shuran (1878-1944), great Rosh Yeshiva and posek of his generation. His father Rabbi Yitzchak Tzvi, was the beloved son-in-law of the ‘Ketav Sofer’. He acquired much Torah from his Rebbe and Uncle Moron ‘Shevet Sofer’ and his great Rebbes and geonim Rabbi Kaleiv Feivel Shlesinger Rav of Topoľčany author of ‘Toraht Bar-Nash’ and Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler author of ‘Levushei Mordechai’ Rav of Mad. The day he married the daughter of his uncle the Gaon Rabbi Yeshayehu Ehrenfeld Rav of Shuran he was appointed to succeed him and from then he was referred to everyone as ‘Shuraner Rav.

The honey dish is shaped like oyster shell, made of genuine silver, weighing 21 gram. The width altering 1-5 cm., length about 6 cm. standing on silver decorated legs.
