Historical letter of outcry, from the founder of Mir Yeshiva the renowned Great Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel, member of Moetzet Gedolai HaTorah and world leader of Torah in Israel, turning to his students in the diaspora countries to stand to support the Yeshiva which is in financial distress after struggling with an overflow of students in the Beit Medrash. In the letter, he relates that his son the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Finkel, is currently in the United States and he pleas to them to assist him in this emergency appeal.

The Giant Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel (1877-1965) Rosh Yeshiva Mir and founder of the New Yeshiva after the Holocaust, was from great scholars of the generation and member of Moetzet Gedolai HaTorah of Agudat Yisrarel. Son of the the Alter/saba of Slabodka Rabbi Nosson Tzvi Finkel, disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Eliezer Gordon of Telz, the great Gaon Rabbi Shimon Shkop and the Great Gaon Rabbi Chaim of Brisk. Son-in-law of the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu Baruch Kamai Rosh Yeshiva and abd in Mir. He managed to escape from Holocaust, and immigrate to Israel where he established from new the Torah kingdom of Mir Yeshiva, which after several years became a the largest and greatest fortress of Torah in the world. He served as member of Moetzet Gedolai HaTorah of Agudat Yisrael and was one of the greatest scholars of the generation.
