Introduction by the ‘Chakal Yitzchak’ of Spinka to the sefer ‘Imrei Yosef’ from his father the holy Rabbi Yosef Meir of Spinka. Germany 1947. With dedication from the Admor of Spinka Jerusalem.
The introduction was printed on German soil in the year 1947. in the DP Camps, by the ‘Hisachdut Talmidei V’Chassidai Spinka in Germany’.
On the second page is dedication hand written by the Admor of Spinka Jerusalem Rabbi Yosef Meir Kahana, to his disciple Rabbi Yosef Dovidovitz, from renowned disciples of the MaHaritz Dushinski and from community heads in Jerusalem. the dedication is from the year 1959.
The holy Admor Rabbi Yosef Meir Kahana of Spinka Jerusalem (1910-1978). Born to his father Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh, grandson of the holy Imrei Yosef of Spinka. Married the daughter of Rabbi Yitzchak Tietelbaum of Husakiv. After his wedding he lived for two years in Ungvar and served as Rav in the neighboring city of Breznik, later he established a Yeshiva in Ungvar and stood at its head. By miracle he received a certificate to immigrate to Israel and settled in Meah Shearim, there he started serving as Admor and many flocked to his ’tishen’. Was renowned as one of the great Poskim in Halachah in Jerusalem and abroad. He left after him a righteous and blessed generation of whom many served as famous Rabbanim of communities that spread Torah and Halachah.
