Valuable treasure! Sefer ‘Sharei Kedusha’, laws of shechita in short, by Rabbi Yichya Tzalach, great scholar and posek of Yemen, all personally hand written and signed with his holy and pure hands. The holy gaon Maharitz blesses with his holy blessings and gives a prayer to G-d to merit children and grandchildren G-d fearing and wholesome.

Sefer ‘Sharei Kedusha’ is laws of shechita and treifot in short, according to our tradition:  אנו פק"ק צנעא יע"א, …וידעתי כי כל קורא בספר קטן זה ימצא נחת רוח ותברכני נפשו כי תכלית הקיצור תכסוף ותשתוקק הנפש.  the holy Maharitz writes in great length that only those very knowledgeable in Shas and Poskim may learn from this sefer and will take pleasure from it. At the end he gives his blessing and prayers: כי יזכה להרחיב גבולו בתלמידים ובבנים ובני בנים עוסקים בתורה ובמצוות. And he signs: ‘המעתיר ומתחנן מקוה חסדי א-ה-י-ה, הצעיר יחיא ן’ לא"א כמהר"ר יוסף ן’ כמהר"ר צאלח יזיי"א’. 

The sefer is all hand written on binded paper (11.5×8.5 cm.) Total [20] pages. No cover, appears in an orderly format, with empty margins in the center of each page and around, on many pages there are short hand written editing in a different handwriting, also the last page all in a different handwriting. Was laid in a beautiful leather cover (not connected) protected from aging damage.


Attached is authorization from the great gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Ratzabi, from great Yementie poskim, expert in handwriting of Yemenite scholars, which he confirms this manuscript to be from Rabbi Yichya Tzalach.

Rabbi Yichya Tzalach (Mori Rabbi Yiḥya Ṣāleḥ; Maharitz, also called Mahry Tzalach), from the great scholars and poskim of Yemen of all generations, lived and was active in Yemen in the 18th century (1714-1805). Born to his great father the gaon Rabbi Yosef Tzalach, already in his childhood his merits and greatness in Torah was noticeable, was a disciple and study partner of two great scholars of the generation David ben Shalom Mizraḥi and Rabbi Yechia HaKohen Eraki. When he was 43 he was appointed as head of the Beit Din for all Yemen communities, and before that served as a member of a tribunal of previous courts. His authority has been acknowledged all over Yemen. He stood as the head of the general Yeshiva in Sana’a, there the Rabbanim of the city gathered to judge on the Halachic questions every day. The Maharitz established many disciples, among them his son of Rabbi Avraham and Rabbi Yosef Kara. Among his many famous sefarim are Shut ‘Peulat Tzadik’ which is packed full with deep and wonderful simplified subjects but according to the ways of Yemen Rabbanim.
