Later he went along with his parents to live in Damascus, as Rabbi Chaim Vital lived with them for three years. At that time he became close with Rabbi Chaim Vital and acquired from him a lot in Kabbalah. After he became very knowledgeable in the revealed and hidden Torah and thorough in Shas and Poskim, he was called to serve as abd in Aleppo. Served in the position for tens of years while many sent him letters asking questions in Torah and Halachah. Some of his sefarim ‘Mekor Chaim’ (on Shulchan Aruch by Kabbalah), ‘Tur Bareket’, ‘Toraht Chacham’ and more.
