Rabbi Chizkiah Da Silva (about 1656-1698), from great poskim of the Achronim. Born in Livorno and immigrated to Israel, there he learned very diligently and in depth, served as Rosh Yeshiva in Yeshivat ‘Beit Yaakov Viga’. His sefer ‘Pri Chadash’ on Shulchan Aruch, is considered a principle sefer of Piskei Halachah . From 1689 he was sent to Europe for fundraising. In his travels there he arrived to Amsterdam, where he published his sefer and returned to Jerusalem.
Decorated original leather cover partly worn with traces of buckles, missing last page, damaged title page, tears and taped on title page and several other pages. Bottom margins cut on several pages. Moth holes, aging stains. Fair condition.
