Sefer Zara DeYosef, first section, Halacha and Suggiyot Innovations by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef ben Rabbi Eliyahu Chai Borgel, the grandson of the Gaon author of "Chok Natan". Moshe Yeshuah Toviana Press, Livorno, [1849]. First edition [the year of the approbation and introduction 1850].

10, 143 leaves. 30 cm. At the beginning of the Sefer, introductions by the author, by his brotjer Rabbi Natan Borgel the "Migdanot Natan" and by the proofreader Rabbi Avraham Baruch Pipirno of Livorno. Original semi-leather binding. On the title page, a lengthy dedication, [14] lines, handwritten by the author.

Rabbi Yosef Borgel (ca. 1790-1874), one of the most important Dayanim of Tunis, a great Gaon knowledgeable in all parts of the Torah, sent many Halachic responses, author of the Sefer ‘Zara DeYosef’ abd ‘Vayiken Yosef’.

Gluing to the binding, minor aging stains, very good condition.
