About 70 notations personally hand written, in the side and center margins of the sefarim. Many notations were cut slightly by the binding but with the majority of the pure words the Halacha can bee understood. Part of the comments were printed in his Holy sefer Shu"t Machaneh Chaim.

Many ownership stamps on the sefer, from Hgh"k Rabbi Chaim Sofer and his family members, sons and grandsons many Rabbanim and Geonim from the Sofer family [No connection to the family of the ‘Shevet Hasofrim’ – familly of the Chasam Sofer].

HaGaon HaKodosh Rabbainu Chaim Sofer [1822-1886], author of sefer ‘Machaneh Chaim’, from the great Poskim of Hungarian Jewry and prominent and leading fighter of the separation for the communities following the Chasam Sofers methodologies. He had his Bris Milah on the holy laps of Moron Chasam Sofer, and when he was 11 years entered to learn in his Yeshiva, until the passing of his Rabbi. After he learned for a short while by his son the ‘Kesav Sofer’. He also learned by Moron Maharam A"sh, and Hgh"k Rabbi Binyamin Wolf Lev author of "Sha’arei Torah". After serving as Rav in many prominent communities he was appointed Rav in Munkatch, from the great communities in Hungary in that time.
