Rare! "If Only I Merit Seeing that My Efforts were not in Vain". Letter handwritten by the Holy Gaon Rabbi Hillel of Kalamey and his renowned son-in-law the Holy Gaon the ‘Lev HaIvri" Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger about strengthening religion and preventing bad influences on the community.

The letter bears the date Monday Shabbat Beha’alotcha 1865. It was sent to the great Gaon Rabbi Chaim Sofer, one of the greatest disciples of Moron the Chasam Sofer and author of the ‘Machaneh Chaim’ Shut and was written by his Gaon disciple the renowned Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger author of ‘Lev HaIvri’ and the son-in-law of Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein of Kalamey.
