‘Shoshanat HaAmakim’. Rules in the Shas and Halacha by our Rabbi the Pri Megadim. Lemberg, 1837.

A most pedigreed copy from which the Holy Geonim and Tzaddikim the ‘Kol Aryeh’ of  Mád and His Grandson ‘The Shimleuer Rov’ had studied, with many signatures handwritten by them.

Inside the book, a halachic comment by ‘The Shimleur Rov’ Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich. On the back flyleaf – a long inscription indicating that the Holy Gaon of Shimleu had received the holy book in 1870 when he was approx. 16 years old, from his Holy grandfather the ‘Kol Aryeh’.

In addition, there are important signatures by Rabbi Yissachar Dov Weiss, the grandson of the Rabbi of Slavuta, of the Tzaddikim of the Spinka dynasty. Rabbi Yosef Yochanan Hacohen Kahana of Siget, one of the important Hassidim and leaders of the community of Siget. Rabbi Shmuel Schwartz, the grandson of the Kol Aryeh the author of the book Toldot Geonei Hager.

The Holy Gaon Gedol HaDor Rabbi Avraham Yehuda Hacohen Schwartz [1824-1884] ‘Mader Rov’ and the rabbi of Bergsas. One of the last leading disciples of Moron the Chasam Sofer, who miraculously studied with him the Nistar. Moron, his Rabbi the Divrei Chaim, the Michtav Sofer and the other Tzaddikim and Geonim of his generation greatly admired and appreciated him. He studied the Nistar and had a lesson with the Holy Gaon the Yitav Lev of Siget. Many of the leading rabbis of Hungray were his sons and disciples.

The ‘Shimleuer Rov’ the Holy Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich [1863-1944] one of the most important Tzaddikim Marbitzei HaTorah of his generation. He had hundreds of disciples, inculding most important rabbis.
