"I will never forget your love and truth!" A touching letter of gratitude handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenriech of Shamloy to Rabbi Dr. Eliyahu Yung and the philanthropist Rabbi Yisrael Grossman for his donation to the printing of his Sefer "Lechem Shlomo" Shut, Shamloy, 1933.

In the letter, Gabd of Shamloy appeals to the "Renowned Gaon" Eli’ Yung [Rabbi Dr. Leo Yung, an important activist of Agudat Yisrael in the USA and one of those who laid the the infrastructure of Jewish life in America and the Beis Yaakov institutions for girls all over the world] and to the philanthropist Rabbi Yisrael Grossman, thanking them for the 50$ donation they had sent to assist in the printing of his Sefer the "Lechem Shlomo" Shut on Yoreh Deah. He apologizes for not responding immediately due to his health and blesses them from a touched heart: "I will never forget your love and truth! And due to your Mitzvah … may you live a long, pleasurable and peacful life as you please until we merit to immigrate soon to Zion joyfully and with the coming of the true redeemer and eternal joy on our heads…"

‘Der Heiliger Tzaddik un Gaon der Shamloyer Rov’  the great Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich [1863-1944], one of the greatest Poskim. Knowleadgeable in all aspects of Torah and Nistar. A lofty Tzaddik in his generation. Many who came to his gravesite saw miracles and cure due to his merit. Grew up and was raised for several years by his grandfather the Holy Gaon the ‘Kol Yehuda’. After his marriage, he lived in Liska, refusing to hold a rabbinical position and barely making his living from commerce. After several years as Rav in Tshabe, he was appointed Rav of Shamloy. He led his community with might and strength, set regulations on various matters and estanlished a yeshiva and Talmud Torah.  Auhtored many Seforim: Lechem Shlomo, Beis Shlomo, Em LaBinah, and many more.
