Unique copy! Et Barzel, Ma’arachot and Chidushei Sugiyot HaShas, authored by Rabbi Tuvya Esha of Tzemfelburg, single edition, Berlin – 1832.

The author Rabbi Tuvya Esha (passed away on Kislev 12, 1828). Abd of Tzemfelburg. The disciple of the greatest Rabbis of his generation: HaNoda BiYehuda, Rabbi Moshe Ashkenazi (the son of the author of the Sidrei Tahara), Rabbi Meir Barabi Abd of Pressburg and more. 

The personal copy of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin, the son of the Natziv of Volozhin. His handwritten signature ("Chaim Berlin of Volozhin") appears on the title page alongside his stamp, which appears several times throughout the sefer (reading חיים ברלין בהגאון אדמו"ר הנצי"ב זצ"ל מלפים רב במאס … ואב"ד ור"מ בוואלאז’ין וכעת בירושלים עיה"ק ת"ו"

On the leaves of the sefer, several glosses and corrections apparently handwritten by the Grach. 

The well-known Gaon Rabbi Chaim Berlin (1832-1912) the eldest son of the Natziv of Volozhin, at the age of 15 he married Rivkah, the daughter of the philanthropist Rabbi Moshe Tzeitlin of Shklov. For approx. eight years he was supported by his father-in-law and dedicated his time to study Torah with the rabbi of the town Moshe Yitzchak Avigdor and was his Meshamesh. At the same time, he helped his father edited his famous and monumental sefer ‘Ha’amek She’elah’ on ‘She’iltot DeRav Achai’. Rabbi Chaim served as the Rabbi of Volozhin, Moscow and Jerusalem and as the Rosh Yeshiva of the Volozhin Yeshiva for a while and became one of the greatest Rabbis of his generation.  He also served in Kobryn and Yelisavetgrad in Ukraine for a decade. Alongside his religious greatness, Rabbi Chaim was renowned for the kindness and his many deeds of charity.
