A postcard about Hachnasat Kalah and great charity, handwritten by the Holy Rabbi Chaim Baruch of pristik, to the philanthropist Rabbi Tuviya Unger. Pristik, 1936.
Appearing in addition is a long Yiddish notation on the other side of the postcard, by the bride’s mother thanking her brother, the philanthropist Rabbi Unger.
The Holy Rabbi Chaim Baruch Halberstam of Pristik [1886-1924], son after son to the Holy Rabbi the Divrei Chaim of Sanz and the brother and in-law of the Holy Rabbi Chane of Kalashitz. [The son of the Holy Rabbi Menachem Mendel of pristik the son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinava and the son of the Holy Rabbi Aryeh Leibush of Dokla the son of the Holy Rabbi David Kashanover]. Since 1936, he served as Rav in pristik. Was killed in Kiddush Hashem with his family during the terrible Holocaust,
