Appearing in five places is the signature of the Holy Rabbi Yechiel the author’s grandson, the son of the Holy Rabbi Yaakov Yosef the son of the rabbi author of Be’er Mayim Chaim. Several times he used to sign integrating letters from the leaves of the book, like the custom of his fther Rabbi Yaakov Yosef and his grandfather the Be’er Mayim Chaim. See item 187 of this auction.
The holy book Be’er Mayim Chaim and its author the Holy Rabbi Moron the Be’er Mayim Chaim of Chernowitz:
One of the Greatest Tzaddikim of Chassidut. He studied and taught the Torah of his rabbi, Rabbi Yechiel Michl of Zlotshov. He was renowned for the greatness of his Kedushat Shabbat. Immigrated to the Land of Israel and lived in Safed. Except for this book of his ‘Be’er Mayim Chaim’ he was also known for his basic book ‘Sidduro shel Shabbat’. The holy book ‘Be’er Mayim Chaim’ was written with wonderful clarity and quickly became a heritage asset in the Hassidic world in particular and in the world of Torah in general. The Holy Rabbi the Sar Sholom of of Belz said that his first Mussar book was the book ‘Be’er Mayim Chaim’.
The Holy Rabbi Yechiel Michl Tirrer the Admor of Dorohoi-Buchach. Was the son of the Holy Rabbi Yaakov Yosef of Mahlov the son of the Be’er Mayim Chaim. Was named after the Maggid of Zlotshov. He became the son-in-law of the Holy Rabbi Eliezer Ze’ev, the father of the holy Buchach dynasty. He lived near his in-law, was very close to him and learned the basics of leadership from him. Eventually, in 1866, he moved to Dorohoi in the same district and became the leader of a community, with many flocking to his Chatzer. His great son-in-law was the Holy Rabbi Meir of Kretshnif the father of the Tzaddikim Rabbi Eliezer David and Rabbi Itamar of Nadvorna.
Lacking copy, begins with leaf 67 to leaf 270. Stains and wear, tear with slight lack of text in two leaves. Moth damage.
